On December 10, P@SHA Vice Chairman Raheel Iqbal participated in the opening ceremony of the 6th IEEE International Conference on Innovative Computing (ICIC 2025) held at the University of Management and Technology, Lahore. The event brought together leading researchers, students, and technology professionals from across Pakistan and the Asia Pacific region, providing a platform to discuss advancements in computing, digital solutions, and emerging trends that are shaping the future of the tech sector.

During his keynote, Raheel Iqbal highlighted the evolving landscape of innovative computing and its critical role in driving digital transformation across industries. He emphasized how emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and data-driven solutions, are not only redefining organizational processes but also creating opportunities for startups and established enterprises alike. Raheel Iqbal also underlined the importance of collaboration between academia, industry, and innovation hubs to foster a vibrant technology ecosystem that can compete regionally and globally.

The conference served as a forum for students, academics, and industry leaders to exchange ideas and explore practical applications of innovative computing in solving real-world problems. Sessions included presentations on AI, cybersecurity, IoT, and advanced computing frameworks, offering participants insights into current research, technological challenges, and industry best practices. The event also facilitated networking opportunities, enabling knowledge-sharing and partnerships that strengthen Pakistan’s growing tech ecosystem.

P@SHA’s involvement in ICIC 2025 reflects its ongoing commitment to promoting technology innovation, capacity-building, and startup support across the country. By actively participating in such forums, P@SHA aims to bridge gaps between research and industry, encourage cross-sector collaboration, and ensure that emerging digital talent receives guidance and exposure to global technology trends. The organization looks forward to continuing its support for initiatives that enhance knowledge, foster innovation, and reinforce Pakistan’s position in the international technology landscape.

This year’s ICIC conference highlighted not only academic research but also practical applications and the potential for commercialization of innovative computing solutions. Through continued engagement with events like ICIC, P@SHA aims to create sustainable pathways for students and technology professionals to contribute to Pakistan’s digital economy, accelerate innovation adoption, and strengthen the national technology ecosystem.
