Meta has introduced a suite of new Instagram Stories features designed specifically for content captured using its AI-powered smart glasses, further strengthening the integration between wearable technology and social media. The update gives creators more interactive ways to share first-person experiences while making Stories captured through Meta’s AI glasses more immersive and engaging.

One of the headline additions is Spin View, a new Story format that allows viewers to rotate their smartphones while watching compatible Stories. Instead of displaying a fixed frame, the feature lets audiences explore a wider panoramic perspective captured through the smart glasses, creating a more dynamic viewing experience that responds to the movement of the viewer’s device.

Meta has also introduced Multi-Cam Stories, enabling users to combine footage from their AI glasses with videos recorded on their smartphones within a single Instagram Story. This allows creators to seamlessly switch between first-person and third-person perspectives, making it easier to produce more engaging travel content, event coverage, tutorials and daily vlogs without relying on complex editing software.

The update includes several new editing tools designed to simplify Story creation directly within Instagram. Users can trim clips, rearrange scenes and apply creative enhancements before publishing, reducing the need to export content to third-party editing applications. The streamlined workflow is intended to help creators quickly transform wearable camera footage into polished social media content.

These features are exclusive to videos captured with Meta’s AI glasses and are designed to showcase the unique capabilities of wearable cameras. By adding interactive viewing modes and improved editing options, Meta is encouraging users to create content that takes advantage of the glasses’ first-person perspective while offering audiences a more immersive way to experience Stories.

The latest update reflects Meta’s broader strategy of expanding the functionality of its AI-powered wearables beyond simple photo and video capture. As smart glasses continue evolving into multifunctional devices powered by artificial intelligence, deeper integration with Instagram gives creators new tools for storytelling while reinforcing Meta’s vision of connected hardware and software experiences across its ecosystem.
