Czech software company Icewarp has announced its expansion into Pakistan, marking a significant development for the country’s digital transformation journey.

Icewarp, established in 1998, offers a suite of software solutions including hosted email, chat applications, online conferencing, and more.  The company boasts operations in over 100 countries and is attracted to Pakistan’s growing digital adoption across both public and private sectors.

“We see tremendous potential in Pakistan,” stated Jan Urbik, Icewarp’s Global Chief Sales Officer. “Our goal is to support Pakistan’s digitalization efforts by providing affordable and effective solutions.”

A key element of Icewarp’s commitment to Pakistan is the establishment of a data center within the country.  This $1 million investment ensures compliance with local data privacy regulations and keeps user data secure.

Urbik further highlighted the cost-effectiveness of Icewarp’s offerings, claiming they are 60% less expensive than competitors.  This, combined with advanced features and robust cybersecurity, positions Icewarp to attract a wide range of clients, including  financial institutions, SMEs, startups, and established businesses.

Saad Shah, CEO of Hexalyze, a Pakistani IT company partnering with Icewarp, echoed the anticipated benefits for Pakistan.

“These cost-effective solutions will allow many companies to adopt advanced technology for the first time,” he said.  “Not only will businesses save money, but the country will conserve foreign exchange by keeping service provider fees within Pakistan.”

Icewarp’s expansion goes beyond Pakistan.  The company plans to establish regional offices in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, each with dedicated data centers.  Pakistan’s office will serve as a support center for marketing and sales activities.

This collaboration between Icewarp and Hexalyze signifies a positive development for Pakistan’s technology sector.  The introduction of affordable and secure software solutions is poised to accelerate the country’s digital transformation journey.
