Procter & Gamble (P&G) Pakistan has been recognized for its continued commitment to gender equality, receiving the prestigious “Champion of 2023” title at the 6th annual OICCI Women Empowerment Awards.

This marks the second consecutive year P&G Pakistan has been awarded this top honor by the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI), the leading investment promotion body in Pakistan.

OICCI’s Women Empowerment Awards recognize companies that champion diversity and inclusion in the workplace. P&G Pakistan’s long-standing mission of promoting gender equality aligns perfectly with these goals.

“We’re incredibly honored to receive this recognition again,”

said Adil Farhat, SVP and CEO of P&G Pakistan.

“This award reflects our unwavering dedication to creating a truly inclusive environment where women can thrive.”

P&G Pakistan boasts a diverse workforce, with women holding over 50% of leadership and key roles across its operations. The company actively works to dismantle barriers to girls’ education, advocate for gender equality, and create economic opportunities for women.

Beyond internal initiatives, P&G Pakistan fosters positive change through external partnerships. Collaborations with organizations like HOPE and Akhuwat Microfinance empower underprivileged communities, with over 20,000 girls receiving education and nearly 100 women empowered through microloans. Additionally, P&G partners with STEMconnector to encourage girls’ pursuit of careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

P&G Pakistan’s commitment to mentoring is also noteworthy. The company has guided nearly 1,000 women on their professional journeys, contributing to greater gender diversity in various fields.

This award win underscores P&G Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to create a more equitable future for all. The company remains steadfast in its commitment to achieving gender parity and expanding economic opportunities for women in Pakistan.
