PASHA’s Startups and Entrepreneurship Committee is preparing to host an informative session focused on assisting Pakistani companies that are exploring expansion into the United Arab Emirates. The session, titled How to Set Up Business in the UAE: Challenges and Opportunities, will be led by Muhammad Shahbaz Khan, Director at HUB47, and aims to support startups and entrepreneurs seeking insight into one of the region’s most dynamic business environments. Scheduled for 11 December 2025 from 4 PM to 5 PM Pakistan Time, the event offers participants a chance to understand the essential steps involved in establishing a commercial presence in the UAE.

The session will address key requirements that companies must consider when entering the UAE market. These include understanding regulatory obligations, choosing appropriate business structures and navigating the administrative processes that accompany company formation. Participants will benefit from hearing about practical considerations that influence early decision making, particularly for startups working with limited resources and facing unfamiliar procedures. Insights shared by the speaker will assist entrepreneurs in planning a more informed expansion strategy while avoiding common difficulties faced during cross border business setup.

In addition to setup guidelines, the session will discuss challenges that Pakistani companies may encounter when exploring UAE market entry. These may relate to competition, sector specific requirements, cost structures or compliance matters that vary across different emirates. By highlighting these aspects, the discussion aims to create awareness of the realities associated with entering an international market. Entrepreneurs attending the event will gain a clearer understanding of the factors that can influence sustainable expansion and long term participation in the UAE’s economic landscape.

Alongside challenges, the session will also outline the opportunities available for Pakistani businesses that wish to operate or expand in the UAE. The region continues to attract companies due to its diverse economic environment, access to global markets and technology focused initiatives that support business growth. Pakistani startups and established companies are increasingly exploring the UAE as a place where they can engage with investors, form partnerships and access customers from multiple regions. Through this interactive session, PASHA aims to encourage better preparation for companies planning to enter the UAE while offering support through expert guidance.

Registration for the session is open until 09 December 2025, allowing participants to secure their place before the deadline. Entrepreneurs and professionals interested in attending can register by completing the form available through the provided link. With this initiative, PASHA continues to support the local entrepreneurial community as it seeks new avenues for international engagement and regional presence. Registration link!
