The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) has announced a paid internship programme for fresh graduates, offering an opportunity to gain up to six months of professional experience within the federal public sector. Based in Islamabad, the programme is intended to provide practical exposure to public-sector governance, technical education and research. Selected interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs60,000, subject to monthly performance reports. The initiative is open to candidates with at least 16 years of education in Economics, Finance, Law, Social Sciences, Engineering, Technology or Information Technology.

Applicants are expected to have a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with graphic and analytical tools such as Adobe InDesign, SPSS, Tableau and Python is also listed as highly desirable. Candidates must demonstrate strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Urdu. The programme is aimed at graduates who can apply their academic knowledge in a professional environment while gaining exposure to the operations of a federal government organisation.

Interested candidates can submit their applications online through the National Jobs Portal at jobs.gov.pk. Applications must be submitted within 15 days of the internship advertisement’s publication. NAVTTC has stated that incomplete applications will not be considered and that only eligible candidates will be shortlisted for interviews. The commission also reserves the right to accept or reject applications and to cancel or alter the hiring process at any stage without assigning a reason.

The internship will be offered on an appointment basis, and NAVTTC has clarified that no travel or daily allowance (TA/DA) will be provided for interviews. The commission has also described the opportunity as an equal-employment initiative and encouraged applications from candidates of all genders. Through the programme, fresh graduates will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in areas connected to technical and vocational education, public administration and research while receiving a fixed monthly stipend during the internship period.
