The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan is organising a Pakistan-Chile Joint IT Webinar on May 6, 2026, aimed at exploring emerging opportunities in the global information technology sector and fostering cross-border collaboration between Pakistani and Chilean technology stakeholders. The webinar is being conducted in collaboration with the Trade and Investment Councilor Argentina at the Embassy of Pakistan, Pakistan Software Export Board, and Pakistan IT Industry Association, bringing together institutional partners from both countries to create a structured forum for bilateral technology engagement.

The interactive session will bring together leading information and communications technology stakeholders from both Pakistan and Chile, including investment promotion agencies, startup ecosystem representatives, and technology companies, to discuss avenues for partnerships, market entry, and business expansion. The participation of InvestChile and StartupChile alongside Pakistani institutions signals that the webinar is designed to facilitate concrete commercial and investment conversations rather than serve as a purely introductory exchange, with both sides represented by entities that have mandates to actively promote and channel cross-border business activity.

The webinar will be held on May 6, 2026 at 7:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time, which corresponds to 10:00 AM Chile Standard Time. Pakistani information technology and technology companies interested in exploring business opportunities with Chile are encouraged to participate and can register at lnkd.in/dv_9qktV. For Chile, Pakistan represents a growing technology services market with competitive talent, a large freelance developer base, and an expanding software export sector that posted strong growth figures in the 2025-26 fiscal year. For Pakistani technology companies, Chile offers a gateway into Latin America’s increasingly digitized economy, with one of the region’s most stable investment environments and a government actively seeking to diversify its technology partnerships beyond its traditional partners.

CWPK Legacy
Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come.
