A renewed push to strengthen Pakistan’s IT and ITeS exports is underway as Pakistan Software Export Board and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan move to deepen coordination and align export promotion strategies. The collaboration reflects a shared objective of supporting Pakistani technology firms and positioning the country as a competitive player in global digital markets.

The newly appointed CEO of Pakistan Software Export Board, Mr. Faisal Jeddy, called on the Secretary TDAP at TDAP headquarters on Friday, 13 February, for discussions focused on expanding mutual cooperation. The meeting centered on integrating PSEB’s specialized industry insights into TDAP’s Annual Business Plan to create a more unified framework for export promotion. By embedding IT sector priorities into broader trade planning, both institutions aim to develop a cohesive support system that enables local tech companies and startups to scale internationally with greater institutional backing.

Officials emphasized that strengthening collaboration between the two bodies will help streamline outreach initiatives, international participation, and market access strategies for Pakistani firms. The discussion highlighted the role of TDAP flagship initiative PIXS in enhancing global visibility for Pakistan’s technological innovation ecosystem. By combining TDAP’s trade promotion infrastructure with PSEB’s sector specific expertise, the institutions intend to improve coordination in trade delegations, exhibitions, and targeted export campaigns. This alignment is expected to enhance resource utilization and ensure consistent messaging about Pakistan’s digital capabilities in overseas markets.

Both sides reaffirmed that expanding IT and ITeS exports remains critical for Pakistan’s economic trajectory, particularly in driving foreign exchange earnings and creating high value employment opportunities. With global demand for technology services continuing to grow, officials stressed the importance of inter agency synergy in enabling Pakistani firms to compete effectively. The engagement signals a strengthened institutional commitment to advancing Tech Destination Pakistan as a strategic priority under the broader digital transformation agenda led by Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication Pakistan. Through closer collaboration and coordinated planning, PSEB and TDAP are aiming to provide clearer pathways for the business community to expand its footprint on the global stage while reinforcing Pakistan’s standing as an emerging technology hub.
