NETS International (Pvt.) Ltd. and Government College of Technology (GCT) Hyderabad have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, aiming to foster innovation, research, and skills development in Pakistan’s technology ecosystem. The agreement was signed by Engr. Muhammad Nadeem, CEO of NETS International, and Prof. Engr. Munir Ahmad Khuhro, Principal of GCT Hyderabad, marking a key step toward building stronger institutional linkages to promote education and industrial growth.

The partnership focuses on enhancing the quality of technical education and creating new pathways for students to gain practical exposure to industry challenges and opportunities. Under the MoU, both organizations will work together to design joint initiatives in areas such as research, professional training, and technology-driven learning. The collaboration is expected to enable students to gain hands-on experience with emerging technologies, equipping them with skills aligned with current industry needs. This initiative also supports Pakistan’s broader vision for developing a knowledge-based economy by bridging the gap between theoretical learning and real-world application.

Engr. Muhammad Nadeem emphasized that the collaboration with GCT Hyderabad reflects NETS International’s long-term commitment to supporting human capital development and fostering innovation across the country. He noted that by engaging directly with academic institutions, the private sector can play an active role in shaping the next generation of engineers, technologists, and innovators who will drive future growth in Pakistan’s digital economy. The partnership will include workshops, technical seminars, and mentorship programs to help students and faculty stay connected with industry trends and best practices.

Prof. Engr. Munir Ahmad Khuhro stated that the partnership represents a vital opportunity for academic institutions like GCT Hyderabad to integrate industry expertise into their curriculum and teaching practices. He highlighted that such collaborations enhance research quality and help align educational outcomes with market demands. Through this MoU, both NETS International and GCT Hyderabad aim to create a collaborative platform where innovation can thrive, supporting not only the professional growth of students but also the advancement of Pakistan’s technological landscape.

The partnership signifies a collective effort to promote knowledge sharing, technical advancement, and innovation through sustained cooperation between academia and industry. By joining forces, NETS International and GCT Hyderabad are contributing to a more dynamic, skilled, and future-ready workforce, ensuring that education and technology continue to evolve hand in hand for Pakistan’s long-term growth and competitiveness in the regional technology ecosystem.
