The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) has issued an Expression of Interest inviting leading information technology institutes, software houses, and international certification partners to participate in the third batch of the Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme. The initiative represents one of Pakistan’s most extensive youth-focused technology training drives and is seeking qualified institutional partners to deliver high-tech training across a broad range of emerging technology domains. The deadline for applications is July 5, 2026, with interested parties able to apply online at www.nsis.navttc.gov.pk.
The training tracks available under the programme span a wide spectrum of in-demand technology areas, including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics, Cloud Computing through Amazon Web Services and Microsoft platforms, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, Full Stack Web Development, Python Programming, Google User Experience Design, and additional areas such as the Internet of Things, Blockchain, and Game Development. The breadth of domains covered reflects an intent to equip participants with both foundational and specialised skills that are directly relevant to the current technology job market, with internationally recognised certifications forming a central component of the offering.
Eligibility to apply as a training partner is limited to institutes registered with NAVTTC, with a preference for information technology institutes and software houses given the technical nature of the programme. Principal and vendor partners of international certification bodies are also encouraged to apply. A mandatory requirement for all applicants is the availability of closed-circuit television cameras with internet protocol links at their training facilities, a condition aimed at ensuring accountability and oversight of the training delivery process across participating institutions.
The Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme has been one of the government’s primary instruments for addressing youth unemployment through targeted technical training, and the third batch signals a continued commitment to scaling the initiative. By involving software houses and certification partners alongside traditional training institutes, NAVTTC is aiming to bring greater industry alignment to the programme and ensure that the skills being delivered translate into tangible employment and earning opportunities for participants upon completion.
