Naveed Khalid Butt, the Group Chief Regulatory Officer of PTCL & Ufone 4G, has taken on the role of President of the Management Committee in the recently established Telecom Operators Association (TOA). Comprising all major telecom operators in Pakistan, this association is dedicated to advancing the digitization of the national economy through advocacy of policy and regulatory initiatives within the telecom and broadband sectors.

The inaugural meeting of the association witnessed the appointment of prominent figures from Pakistan’s telecom industry, including Naveed Khalid Butt, to key positions. His extensive background in management and regulatory affairs within Pakistan’s technology and telecommunications domains positions him as a valuable asset for the association. With his wealth of knowledge and experience, he aims to drive the newly formed body to collaborate closely with the government, regulatory bodies, and other influential stakeholders.

Naveed Khalid Butt expressed his views on his new role, stating, “Pakistan’s telecom operators share common objectives and responsibilities, and a collaborative approach is essential for their achievement. The establishment of the association has been a long-anticipated development, focused on aligning shared goals and necessitating policy and regulatory interventions. We anticipate that the association will serve as a dynamic platform for streamlining and amplifying our efforts, expediting digitalization, and fostering growth in the telecom and digital industries through investment and innovation. Ultimately, this will contribute to the national economy and empower telecom consumers across the country.”

With nearly two decades of dedicated service to the PTCL Group, Naveed Khalid Butt has played a pivotal role in propelling the company to its current status as a cornerstone of Pakistan’s telecommunications landscape.
