Pakistan Software Export Board has announced that it is reopening applications for the Prime Minister’s Internship Program 2025 under the SkillBridge initiative. The decision follows an overwhelming response from applicants during the first round, highlighting the strong interest among young professionals in gaining structured, industry-relevant training. The program, launched as part of the Prime Minister’s SkillTech Pakistan initiative, is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and workplace requirements, equipping IT graduates with the expertise needed to contribute effectively to the country’s expanding technology and services sector.

According to PSEB, the SkillBridge Program offers a six-month placement with leading IT and IT-enabled Services (ITeS) companies across Pakistan. Participants receive a monthly stipend of Rs.30,000 and work in real-time industry environments where they gain exposure to live projects, company practices, and professional networks. This approach enables graduates to develop both technical and soft skills, improving their employability and providing businesses with a pool of talent already familiar with the demands of the industry.

PSEB officials have said the program is not only a training opportunity but also a pathway for young professionals to become part of a rapidly developing digital economy. By embedding participants in top-tier IT and ITeS companies, the initiative creates an environment where graduates can understand market needs, develop practical solutions, and contribute to ongoing projects. This also benefits employers who gain access to trained candidates capable of handling diverse tasks from the outset.

Applications for the internship are open until October 6, 2025, through the official registration portal at skills.techdestination.com. Eligible candidates are encouraged to apply promptly as the slots are limited. PSEB has emphasized that the program reflects a continued commitment to building a skilled workforce, promoting digital literacy, and supporting the overall growth of Pakistan’s tech sector. By aligning education with market-driven training, the initiative aims to strengthen the pipeline of skilled professionals who can sustain and advance the country’s IT and ITeS ecosystem in the years ahead.
