The University of Chitral has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aurat Tech to strengthen collaboration in youth empowerment, digital skills development and psychological well-being. The partnership was finalized following a meeting between representatives of the university and Aurat Tech, held under the direction of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Hazir Ullah. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to equipping students with the skills and support needed to succeed in an increasingly digital economy.
The meeting brought together officials from the University’s Directorate of Linkages, Youth Development Centre and Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), along with Aurat Tech’s leadership team. Discussions focused on creating meaningful opportunities for students through technology training, entrepreneurship programmes, capacity-building initiatives and student ambassador schemes aimed at fostering innovation and leadership among young people.
Through the partnership, both organizations will work to strengthen students’ digital competencies while promoting greater participation of women in technology-related fields. The collaboration also aims to provide practical learning opportunities that improve employability, encourage entrepreneurial thinking and support personal development through initiatives focused on psychological well-being and community engagement.
The MoU reflects the growing importance of partnerships between academic institutions and technology organizations in preparing Pakistan’s youth for future workforce demands. By combining educational resources with industry expertise, the University of Chitral and Aurat Tech aim to build an inclusive learning environment that empowers students with market-relevant skills while contributing to sustainable social and economic development.
