Tech Valley has collaborated with the Training Management and Research Wing under the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department of the Government of Sindh to deliver two Generative AI Bootcamps for senior civil servants and newly appointed officers in Karachi. The programmes, led by Sheikh Subhan, General Manager South at Tech Valley, focused on automating routine office workflows, combating digital misinformation and enhancing policy synthesis for evidence backed governance.
The bootcamp was structured across two days, with the first centered on foundations and productivity, covering responsible AI frameworks, advanced prompt engineering and hands on workplace automation labs. The second day shifted focus toward advanced AI and policy analysis, addressing information integrity, fact checking, narrative building and multi document synthesizing, giving officers practical tools for evaluating and communicating policy relevant information more efficiently.
A separate four day, 20 hour bootcamp also provided young probationers from the 1st Common Training Programme with foundational and advanced public sector AI skills, covering fundamentals of generative AI, ethical public frameworks, media fact checking and data backed narrative construction. This track also included workflow automation labs and training on countering misinformation within digital governance settings, alongside analytical policy frameworks tailored for early career civil servants entering the public sector.
During the programme, Secretary TMR Wing Noor Ahmed Samoo addressed the participating officers and announced three specialized Google Course certifications intended to further strengthen their digital skills beyond the bootcamp itself. He expressed appreciation to Tech Valley CEO Umar Farooq and Sheikh Subhan for bringing practical AI methodologies into civil service training, tying the initiative directly to Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah’s broader vision for a technology empowered public sector in Sindh.
