The Punjab School Education Department has announced eight vacancies for information technology professionals under its Programme Monitoring and Implementation Unit (PMIU), inviting qualified candidates to apply for technical positions based in Lahore. The recruitment drive is being conducted under the Actions to Strengthen Performance for Inclusive and Responsive Education (ASPIRE) project through the Punjab Education Sector Reforms Programme (PESRP). The advertised positions cover several areas of technology, including software development, database administration, DevOps, cybersecurity, quality assurance and network management. The vacancies are distributed across Project Pay Scales (PPS) 8, 9 and 10, with one position available for each advertised designation. Interested candidates must submit their applications online by November 8, 2026, through the official PMIU-PESRP recruitment portal. The department has specified that applications submitted through hand delivery, courier or other methods will not be accepted, making the online portal the required channel for the recruitment process.

The positions available under the latest recruitment announcement include Software Team Lead, Database Administrator, DevOps Engineer and Cyber Security, Senior Software Engineer, Senior Software Developer (UI/UX), QA/Test Engineer, Network/System Administrator and Junior Software Engineer. Three positions fall under PPS-10, covering the Software Team Lead, Database Administrator and DevOps Engineer and Cyber Security roles. The Senior Software Engineer, Senior Software Developer (UI/UX) and QA/Test Engineer positions are listed under PPS-9, while the Network/System Administrator and Junior Software Engineer vacancies fall under PPS-8. The advertisement identifies the relevant project pay scales but does not specify fixed monthly salary amounts for the positions. Applicants should therefore review the official vacancy details to understand the applicable employment conditions, qualifications and experience requirements before submitting their applications. The recruitment offers opportunities for professionals with relevant technical backgrounds to work on an education-sector programme that involves administrative and technology-related functions.

Applicants are required to hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree, including a relevant bachelor’s honours qualification, in Computer Science, Information Technology or another related discipline from a university recognised by the Higher Education Commission. Additional qualifications, professional experience and certifications may be relevant to individual positions, depending on the requirements outlined in the official advertisement. For example, candidates applying for the Software Team Lead role may benefit from knowledge of Scrum and Agile development, while PMP or PRINCE2 certifications are listed as preferred qualifications. Relevant database administration certifications may be advantageous for the Database Administrator position, and a Certified DevOps Engineer qualification is preferred for the DevOps and Cyber Security role. The Senior Software Engineer vacancy also recognises relevant qualifications in Artificial Intelligence, with preference for candidates specialising in the field. For the QA/Test Engineer position, knowledge of SQL injection and load testing is specified among the relevant technical skills. Candidates should check the complete advertisement for the precise requirements of their chosen role rather than relying solely on general eligibility information.

To apply, interested candidates must visit the official PMIU-PESRP jobs portal at jobs.pesrp.edu.pk, select the relevant vacancy and complete the online application form. The application process requires candidates to provide personal information, educational qualifications, professional experience and employment history, along with the supporting documents requested by the portal. Applicants should ensure that all information is accurate and that their qualifications and experience can be verified through the relevant documentation. They should also review their entries before submitting the application and complete the process ahead of the November 8 deadline. The department has stated that applications submitted outside the prescribed online process will not be considered. Recruitment-related queries can be directed to the Programme Monitoring and Implementation Unit at the Punjab Education Sector Reforms Programme office, located at 6-A, Link Wahdat Road, Asif Block, near Pilot Higher Secondary School, Lahore. The office contact numbers listed for enquiries are 042-99260124-25. Candidates should consult the official recruitment portal and advertisement for the latest instructions and position-specific requirements before applying.
