A delegation from the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a meeting with SMEDA Chief Executive Officer Nadia Jehangir Seth at the SMEDA Head Office on Saturday to discuss the future roadmap of the proposed Sialkot Business and Commerce Center, an initiative aimed at facilitating business development, trade promotion, and industrial growth in one of Pakistan’s most export-intensive cities.

The SCCI delegation was led by its President Syed Ahtesham Mazhar and included former presidents Dr. Nouman Idris Butt and Abdul Ghafoor Malik. The discussion centred on recommendations and planning for the Sialkot Business and Commerce Center, with the delegation presenting specific proposals for the project’s future development and emphasising the need for institutional support to advance export-led growth and improve the business environment for small and medium enterprises in the region.

SMEDA CEO Nadia Jehangir Seth appreciated the contributions of the Sialkot business community and reaffirmed the authority’s commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at industrial development and small and medium enterprise promotion. She assured the delegation of continued collaboration and confirmed that SMEDA would extend full support in refining and advancing proposals aligned with broader economic and export growth objectives. The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding between both parties to continue coordination and work toward the effective implementation and future expansion of the Sialkot Business and Commerce Center initiative, as Sialkot’s business community looks to build institutional infrastructure that can support the city’s global trade ambitions over the long term.
