Savyour’s Co-Founder and CEO, Umair Gadit, discusses the journey of Pakistan’s first and only local cashback app and affiliate marketing platform, Savyour, which was established in August 2020.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Savyour was launched to help small businesses connect with their clients online and provide a free marketing outlet for retailers through affiliate marketing. Since its inception, Savyour has grown significantly, partnering with over 450 companies, including well-known brands and MSMEs, and operating in more than 200 cities across eight categories.

Affiliate marketing plays a crucial role in Savyour’s business plan, using a pay-per-sale model to add a commission to each completed transaction on the platform. For brands, affiliate marketing offers multiple advantages, including a higher return on investment compared to conventional marketing channels. Consumers benefit from Savyour by gaining access to exclusive discounts, cashback rewards, and triple-stacked savings on their purchases. The platform also appeals to the unbanked population, encouraging individuals to open bank accounts.

In April 2020, Savyour introduced cashback programs for customers who prefer in-person shopping, expanding its services beyond the digital realm. The platform’s ideal clients are tech-savvy individuals aged between 18 and 28, who are open to trying new things and have disposable income.

To reach both companies and end users, Savyour employs various digital marketing strategies, including Meta and Google advertising, influencer marketing, and digital PR. The company also plans to introduce on-ground activations for mainstream media promotion.

Looking ahead, Savyour aims to expand its in-store services, increase exposure, and continue supporting MSMEs on their journey to success by transforming their business prospects through the platform’s innovative offerings.
