Farah Gul Rahuja, a talented bioinformatics graduate from COMSATS University Islamabad, has been recognized as a Global Youth Leader at the prestigious 2024 World Internet Conference (WIC) Wuzhen Summit in China.
Selected from a pool of candidates representing 61 countries and regions, Rahuja was one of 18 youth leaders honored for their contributions to digital innovation and leadership. The summit, held from November 19 to 22, focused on the theme “Embracing a Digital Future That Puts People First and Promotes Intelligent Goodness.”
Rahuja’s work in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning has gained significant recognition, particularly her efforts to bridge the digital divide in Pakistan. She is the driving force behind PakGPT, an AI-powered chatbot designed to provide crucial information and skill-enhancing opportunities to people in rural areas.
PakGPT is tailored to function effectively in low-bandwidth environments, ensuring accessibility for users in remote regions. The chatbot also supports multiple languages, making it a valuable tool for overcoming language barriers.
