On 6th May 2026, a joint webinar titled “Pakistan-Chile Joint Webinar: Exploring and Unlocking Opportunities in the IT Sector” was conducted to strengthen digital cooperation and explore new avenues in the global technology landscape. The session was organised in collaboration with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Trade & Investment Councilor Pakistan Embassy Argentina, Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), and P@SHA. The webinar focused on building cross-border linkages between Pakistan and Chile’s information technology ecosystems while identifying areas for future collaboration in services, innovation, and investment-driven growth within the ICT sector.

The webinar brought together a wide range of stakeholders from both countries, highlighting the growing interest in bilateral technology engagement. Representing P@SHA, Raheel Iqbal, Vice Chairman P@SHA, led the session and facilitated discussions among participants. Key representatives included officials and delegates from InvestChile, Startup Chile, ProChile, TDAP, PSEB, P@SHA, and several leading ICT companies from Pakistan and Chile. The participation of both public and private sector stakeholders created a balanced platform where industry perspectives and institutional priorities were discussed in detail, particularly around digital services trade and startup ecosystem development.

During the discussions, participants explored emerging opportunities within Chile’s ICT ecosystem and assessed how Pakistan’s expanding IT and ITeS capabilities could align with international demand. The conversation highlighted Pakistan’s growing presence in global software development, digital services, and technology outsourcing markets, while also acknowledging Chile’s strong startup environment and innovation-focused institutions such as Startup Chile. The exchange of insights allowed both sides to identify potential areas for collaboration in technology transfer, skill development, and joint ventures aimed at expanding market access and improving digital trade connectivity between the two regions. Emphasis was also placed on innovation-driven cooperation, investment facilitation, and expanding business-to-business engagement between ICT companies from both countries.

The session also provided an opportunity to discuss broader pathways for strengthening long-term cooperation between Pakistan and Chile in the technology sector. Participants examined how institutional partnerships involving TDAP, PSEB, and P@SHA could support knowledge sharing and create new channels for international engagement. The dialogue reflected increasing global interest in Pakistan’s IT industry, particularly in areas such as software exports, digital transformation services, and remote technology solutions. Stakeholders noted that such collaborative platforms help in building awareness about Pakistan’s capabilities while also opening doors for startups and established companies to explore new international markets.

P@SHA appreciated the active participation of all speakers, stakeholders, and industry representatives who contributed to the success of the webinar. The engagement demonstrated a shared interest in fostering international collaboration and strengthening Pakistan’s position in the global IT landscape. The discussions reinforced the importance of continued dialogue between industry bodies, trade authorities, and innovation agencies to support sustainable growth in the ICT sector and expand opportunities for technology-driven cooperation between Pakistan and Chile.
