NED University of Engineering and Technology has announced the launch of the “People’s Information Technology Programme,” a fully funded initiative by the Sindh Government aimed at empowering the province’s youth with essential IT skills. This two-month training program is designed to equip participants with industry-recognized certifications, enhancing employability and fostering digital literacy across Sindh.

The program, which begins on January 13, 2025, offers intensive training in a variety of IT domains, including Python development, data science, graphic design, web development, e-commerce, digital marketing, mobile application development, Java programming, and database administration. These certifications cater to individuals aged 18 to 22 with at least an intermediate level of education. Classes are scheduled Monday to Friday, with daily three-hour sessions ensuring comprehensive skill development in each domain.

The primary goal of this initiative is to prepare young individuals for the demands of the modern digital economy. By offering quality IT education at no cost, the program aims to bridge the digital divide, enhance employability, and promote entrepreneurial ventures among Sindh’s youth. Participants will gain hands-on experience in high-demand fields, boosting their prospects in the rapidly growing tech sector.

Beyond individual benefits, the program addresses broader societal challenges, such as youth unemployment and digital exclusion. By equipping participants with marketable skills, the initiative not only contributes to workforce development but also supports economic growth and social inclusion across diverse communities.

Registration for the program closes on January 5, 2025. Interested candidates can apply online at the official program portal, where they will find further details about the courses and eligibility requirements. Queries can also be directed to program coordinators via the provided contact number: +92-314-2004528 or 021-99261289-90 or Email: nedacademy@neduet.edu.pk.

The “People’s Information Technology Programme” represents a forward-thinking effort by the Sindh Government and NED University to create a more digitally inclusive society. By investing in the next generation of IT professionals, this initiative underscores a commitment to shaping a skilled, resilient workforce capable of meeting the challenges of the future.
