Karandaaz Pakistan, in partnership with Walee Financial Services, has introduced Khudmukhtar Khatoon, Pakistan’s first Shariah-compliant digital asset financing program designed specifically for women entrepreneurs. This initiative marks a significant stride toward advancing women’s access to financial resources, enabling them to build sustainable businesses and play a more active role in the country’s economic development. The program reflects a shared vision between both organizations to promote inclusive growth, strengthen financial inclusion, and design financial products that meet the unique needs of women in Pakistan’s evolving business ecosystem.

Khudmukhtar Khatoon aims to address a longstanding gap in the financial sector, where women-led businesses often face barriers in accessing formal credit and investment opportunities. Despite their growing contribution to various industries, women entrepreneurs in Pakistan continue to encounter systemic challenges, including limited collateral, lack of financial literacy, and restricted access to gender-responsive financing solutions. By launching a digital platform that adheres to Shariah principles, Karandaaz Pakistan and Walee Financial Services seek to provide equitable, transparent, and accessible asset financing tailored for women-led enterprises. This initiative combines financial technology with inclusive design to ensure women entrepreneurs can access tools and capital that support their business aspirations in a manner consistent with their cultural and financial values.

Through this collaboration, both organizations are piloting a model that has the potential to become a reference point for gender-inclusive financial innovation in Pakistan. The program is structured to empower women as not only borrowers but as decision-makers and builders of their economic future. By leveraging Walee’s digital infrastructure and Karandaaz’s expertise in financial inclusion, Khudmukhtar Khatoon integrates Shariah-compliant asset financing with digital delivery channels, ensuring convenience, security, and transparency for participants. It also provides a scalable framework that can expand as the program evolves, potentially influencing broader policy reforms and encouraging more financial institutions to adopt similar inclusive approaches.

This partnership builds on Karandaaz Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to design financial solutions that strengthen the role of women in the economy. The organization has long been at the forefront of promoting financial inclusion, supporting small and medium enterprises, and collaborating with partners to create innovative funding models. Walee Financial Services brings to the table its digital expertise and commitment to developing technology-driven financial solutions that bridge existing access gaps. Together, the two organizations aim to transform how women entrepreneurs engage with finance by making it more relevant, accessible, and sustainable.

While Khudmukhtar Khatoon begins as a pilot initiative, its launch represents a foundational step toward reshaping Pakistan’s financial landscape with a gender-inclusive focus. Both Karandaaz Pakistan and Walee Financial Services have expressed optimism that this program will grow into a flagship model for empowering women through ethical, digital, and inclusive finance. By aligning technology, Shariah compliance, and purpose-driven collaboration, the initiative sets the stage for meaningful economic participation and long-term impact for women entrepreneurs across Pakistan.
