Jazz, Pakistan’s leading digital operator, has teamed up with Tech Valley, a Google for Education partner, to roll out the ‘Digital Safar’ initiative in schools nationwide. The program aims to equip over 300,000 students with essential coding skills and online safety practices to navigate the digital world effectively.

Combining the strengths of Google’s ‘CS First’ and ‘Be Internet Awesome’ programs, ‘Digital Safar’ offers a comprehensive curriculum covering coding, computational thinking, digital citizenship, and online safety. With interactive online modules and hands-on activities, the program ensures engagement for students aged 8-14 from diverse backgrounds.

Syed Fakhar Ahmed, Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Officer at Jazz, emphasized the importance of quality digital education and online safety for all children, stating that this collaboration with Tech Valley reflects Jazz’s dedication to empowering Pakistani youth.

Umar Farooq, CEO of Tech Valley Pakistan, expressed excitement about the partnership, noting that the initiative aims to make learning enjoyable while providing students with crucial skills for the digital age.

This collaboration marks Jazz’s ongoing commitment to digital literacy and youth empowerment. In 2021, Jazz partnered with The Citizens Foundation (TCF) to digitize 1,652 TCF schools and train 266,000 students across Pakistan and AJK.

Through Tech Valley, Jazz anticipates significant upskilling of students and teachers in Islamabad schools, addressing growing concerns about internet safety and youth development.
