The Institute of Business Administration Karachi’s Center for Executive Education is hosting an evening session titled Chai, Conversation and Change on May 21, 2026, at the IBA City Campus in Karachi, bringing together professionals, business families, and next-generation leaders for a candid discussion on how artificial intelligence is quietly but materially reshaping family businesses across industries. The session runs from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM and is held under the UNICON Consortium for University Executive Education framework, positioning it within a globally recognised network of executive education providers.

The session is themed around artificial intelligence and family business under the tagline “Let’s Decode,” structured as a practically oriented conversation rather than a conventional corporate panel. The discussion will cover where artificial intelligence is already creating measurable change within family-owned businesses, how organisations can adopt artificial intelligence tools without compromising the values and cultural foundations that define their identity, what next-generation leaders within family enterprises are doing to drive real change from within, and the honest account of the resistance, challenges, and lessons that have emerged as businesses at various stages of artificial intelligence adoption have navigated this transition.

The practical dimension of the session is deliberate. Rather than broad theoretical discussion, the Center for Executive Education has framed the evening around small, immediately actionable ideas that attendees can begin applying within their own business contexts. For family businesses in Pakistan, many of which are navigating a generational leadership transition alongside rapid technological change, the combination of artificial intelligence literacy and succession dynamics creates a distinct set of challenges that differ meaningfully from those facing professionally managed corporations, requiring a different kind of conversation grounded in the specific pressures and priorities of family-owned enterprise.

Registration is available at https://lnkd.in/dhxcmuWb, with further information available at ceeinfo@iba.edu.pk or by calling +92 21 38104701, extensions 1812 and 1822. The Institute of Business Administration Karachi, which is marking 70 years since its founding, has consistently positioned its Center for Executive Education as a bridge between academic thinking and practical business leadership, and the Chai, Conversation and Change format reflects that philosophy by creating an environment where peer-level exchange and honest reflection are as central as the structured content being delivered.
