The ‘Huawei FusionSolar Club Pakistan’ was organised at the Pearl Continental Hotel with the goal of leading green powered digital power in the country and to aid the energy sector in the fight against climate change and to build sustainable development. The event was attended by Mr. Tauseef H. Farooqi, Chairman National Electric Power Regulatory Authority, Mr. Shah Jahan Mirza, CEO AEDB, Mr. Naeem Memon, Director Solar Alternate Energy Development Board, Ahmed Shahzeb Malik, Member Board of Directors Quaid-E-Azam Solar Pvt. Ltd, and Sadaqat Ali Khan, Member Energy Planning and Division Board Energy Department. Mr. Liwen, Managing Director, Huawei Lahore Regional Office, was also present.

During his statement, Mr. Shah Jehan Mirza, Chairman AEDB, stated, “The importance of RE (renewable energy) cannot be overestimated, and the government of Pakistan has taken the appropriate steps.” The energy sector will undergo a paradigm transformation over the next ten years.

“Prime Minister Imran Khan also wants Green Energy for Pakistan,” said Mr. Tauseef, Chairman of NEPRA. NEPRA is working on renewable energy (RE) and is being cautious regarding the regulatory structure. Digitalization is fantastic, but it also comes with a lot of obstacles, which is why NEPRA recently held a meeting with worldwide experts on cyber security standards.”

“Many countries have pledged to carbon neutrality by 2050, which is the future, it serves as a solution for customers, and we will continue to encourage Pakistan’s sector to develop digitalization,” Mr. Liwen concluded. Today, we’re here to introduce you to FusionSolar, the most recent innovation product.”

Globally, utilities are witnessing a cultural transition away from conventional business models that needed significant investment and toward an information-based digital economy. Huawei FusionSolar Club Pakistan worked with industry stakeholders to provide a platform for industry professionals to discuss the most up-to-date technology, experiences, and insights in the digitalization of PV systems.
