Honor has officially teased the imminent launch of the Honor X80 Pro Max, a new addition to its X-series lineup that is shaping up to be one of the most battery-focused mainstream smartphones of the year, with leaked specifications pointing to an 11,000 milliampere-hour battery that would place it well ahead of most competing devices in terms of raw capacity.

The teaser was accompanied by Honor’s announcement that its X-series has crossed 130 million users worldwide, a milestone that underscores the lineup’s popularity in value-oriented markets where durability, reliability, and long battery life are primary purchase drivers. The Honor X80 Pro Max appears to be built squarely around that same identity, with leaked details suggesting a device that prioritises endurance and build quality alongside a capable mid-range specification sheet. The 11,000 milliampere-hour battery, if confirmed, would represent one of the largest capacities on any mainstream smartphone currently available, surpassing most competitors by a considerable margin and targeting users who demand multi-day battery life under heavy use. The device is expected to support 90 watt wired charging and 27 watt wired reverse charging, with the reverse charging capability allowing the phone to function as a portable battery bank for other devices.

On the hardware side, the Honor X80 Pro Max is tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset paired with 8 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of built-in storage as a base configuration, running MagicOS 10 built on Android 16. The display is expected to be a 6.78-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 2,788 by 1,280 pixels, and the device will reportedly be available in Lightning Red, Black, White, and Orange colour options. For photography, a 50-megapixel rear camera is expected, though Honor has not disclosed the full camera setup ahead of the formal launch. The device is also reported to carry substantial durability credentials with water and dust resistance and a reinforced chassis for drop protection, continuing the X-series tradition of phones built to withstand the demands of daily use across challenging environments. Honor is expected to formally unveil the device before the end of June 2026, with the global version of the handset potentially launching under the Honor Magic 9 Lite name, though reports suggest the international variant may ship with a smaller battery than the X80 Pro Max.
