Anker announced its first over-the- counter hearing aids at IFA 2026 in Berlin, marking the company’s entry into a new product category as part of a broader lineup unveiled by its Soundcore audio division. The new hearing aids run on Anker’s proprietary THUS AI chip, the same processor already powering the company’s latest earbuds and headphones, tying the launch to Anker’s existing audio technology ecosystem rather than introducing an entirely separate hardware platform.
The timing could prove fortuitous for hearing aid users, since LXE Hearing exited the US market just months ago. That company had owned Eargo and Lexie Hearing, two major over the counter manufacturers, and its departure has left a gap in the market that Anker now has an opportunity to fill with its own device. The hearing aids use a receiver in canal design, meaning the main body rests behind the ear, and according to Anker, the device is built to target one of the biggest frustrations among hearing aid users, which is understanding voices clearly in noisy places such as crowded restaurants, family gatherings and other social settings.
The technology takes a different approach compared with traditional hearing aids, which often amplify all surrounding sound indiscriminately. Anker’s device instead works more selectively, with the THUS AI audio chip designed to ensure clear calls even in noisy environments. It works alongside a six sensor array featuring four high SNR microphones and two bone conduction sensors, allowing the device to filter out background noise more effectively while focusing on the wearer’s voice. Alongside the hearing aids, Anker also introduced new AeroClip 2 Pro earbuds featuring an Ergo Fit design and an ear clip style intended to provide a snug and comfortable fit for all day wear while still allowing ambient sound to pass through, built around an open acoustic architecture powered by an 11mm dual diaphragm driver and support for the high resolution LDAC audio codec.
On battery performance, the AeroClip 2 Pro can deliver up to 10 hours of playback at 50 percent volume on a single charge, with an additional 30 hours available through its storage case, and a quick 10 minute charge in the case can provide up to three extra hours of playback. The upcoming hearing aid model is expected to deliver 12 hours of usage per charge, with its charging case extending total usage to 36 hours, while a five minute fast charge in the case can add up to two additional hours of usage, a feature Anker claims to be the fastest charging solution currently available in the industry. The hearing aids arrive alongside a wider product push at IFA 2026, where Anker unveiled nine new products across multiple categories while also consolidating its various brand names, including Soundcore and eufy, under the single Anker name, with the THUS chip now powering products across open ear, over ear and in ear form factors. Anker has not yet confirmed full pricing or an exact launch date, stating only that the hearing aids will arrive later this year, with further details on price and timing expected in the coming months, while Pakistani availability and local pricing also remain unconfirmed pending the global rollout of the device.
