Honor has expanded its Play series in China with the quiet launch of the Play 11 Plus and Play 10, with both smartphones sharing two headline specifications: a 7,000mAh battery and a 50MP main rear camera, making large battery capacity and capable primary photography the defining features of the new budget-oriented lineup.
The Play 11 Plus is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6500 Elite chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16 out of the box. The device sports a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 6,500 nits of peak brightness. The 7,000mAh battery supports 45W wired fast charging alongside reverse charging, and despite housing such a large cell the device measures just 7.34mm in thickness and weighs approximately 185 grams. The 50MP main camera sits behind an f/1.8 aperture with support for up to 10x digital zoom, while an 8MP selfie camera handles front-facing photography. The device also includes IP66 dust and water resistance, stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner, NFC, an infrared blaster, Bluetooth 6.0, and a dedicated single-click AI button. Honor’s artificial intelligence tools on board include the YOYO smart assistant, AI notes, and on-device translation powered by MagicOS 10.
The Play 10 takes a different approach, using the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset rather than a MediaTek processor and featuring a larger 6.8-inch LCD display with Full HD Plus resolution at a 120Hz refresh rate. The device runs Android 15-based MagicOS 9 rather than the newer Android 16 found on the Play 11 Plus. It shares the same 7,000mAh battery capacity and 45W wired charging support as its sibling. The rear camera is a single 50MP unit, while the front-facing camera is a 5MP sensor. The Play 10 carries an IP65 rating and uses a side-mounted fingerprint scanner rather than an in-display solution. It also features NFC, GPS, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi, and the same one-tap AI key found on the Play 11 Plus.
The Honor Play 10 is available in China in three storage variants with 8GB of RAM, priced between CNY 1,399 and CNY 1,899, while the Play 11 Plus is available in a single 8GB and 256GB configuration priced at CNY 2,199, equivalent to approximately $325. Both devices are currently China-exclusive with no confirmed global availability, though Honor’s Play series has historically made its way to select international markets following domestic launches.
