HBL and Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) hosted an exclusive CXO Meetup in Hyderabad on January 9th, 2025, bringing together top executives, industry leaders, and thought influencers from diverse sectors to foster innovation, collaboration, and networking. The event proved to be a resounding success in strengthening ties within Pakistan’s tech ecosystem and exploring future opportunities for growth.

The meetup saw the presence of distinguished personalities, including P@SHA Chairman, Sajjad Syed, along with CEC Members Abdul Wahab, Hassan Bin Rizwan, Mohammad Munaf Majeed, Dr. Sonia Saleem, and P@SHA Secretary General, Nadeem A. Malik. Their collective insights provided valuable perspectives on the future of the industry, creating a platform for meaningful discussions and strategic partnerships.

Keynote Addresses and Thought Leadership

The event kicked off with an engaging welcome keynote by P@SHA Chairman, Sajjad Syed, who outlined the significance of CXO meetups in catalyzing business collaboration and strengthening Pakistan’s tech ecosystem. His remarks were followed by an insightful keynote from Mr. Shaharyar Ali, Regional Business Head at HBL, who discussed the evolving role of technology and finance in shaping business landscapes.

In addition, Khadija A., Senior Manager at HBL, delivered a comprehensive product presentation, highlighting HBL’s latest offerings in digital banking and finance. The event also featured Ayaz Ahmed U., a member of ISTD GOS, who shared his perspectives on the future of IT in Sindh, stressing the growing potential for IT innovation in the region.

Thought-Provoking Discussions and Panels

A key highlight of the event was an open discussion led by Dr. Sonia Saleem, who explored industry expectations from academia. Her session resonated with attendees, as she stressed the need for academia to align with the fast-paced evolution of the tech industry, ensuring a pipeline of skilled talent ready to meet emerging industry demands.

The event also featured a panel discussion on current industry challenges, with contributions from Mr. Munaf Majeed and other key members. This session focused on tackling the obstacles hindering industry growth, from talent shortages to the need for more robust digital infrastructure.

Strengthening Industry Collaborations

In addition to insightful discussions, P@SHA also signed multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with key industry players, laying the foundation for future collaborations. These MOUs signal a shared commitment to driving innovation and addressing the evolving needs of Pakistan’s tech and software sectors.

The event was capped off with a special ceremony, where Sajjad Syed presented Guest of Honor Shields to the distinguished attendees, recognizing their contributions to the industry. The gesture was a testament to the collaborative spirit that defines the tech community in Pakistan.

The HBL P@SHA CXO Meetup 2025 in Hyderabad was a major success, marking a significant step forward in fostering collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing within the Pakistani tech ecosystem. With multiple MOUs signed and a strengthened network of industry leaders, the event set the stage for exciting new partnerships and initiatives that will shape the future of Pakistan’s tech industry.
