Acer has unveiled two new Snapdragon-powered Windows laptops at Computex 2026 in Taipei, spanning both the premium artificial intelligence convertible segment and the entry-tier budget category, with one of the two devices making history as the world’s first laptop to ship with Qualcomm’s newly announced Snapdragon C processor. The Swift Spin 14 AI targets users looking for premium AI performance in a flexible convertible design, while the Aspire Go 15 brings Qualcomm’s latest entry-level Snapdragon platform to a more budget-friendly category, marking another step in Acer’s growing commitment to ARM-based Windows PCs.
The Swift Spin 14 AI introduces a 360-degree convertible design to Acer’s Swift series, allowing it to be used as a laptop, tablet, or presentation device. It features a 14-inch WUXGA touchscreen display with a 120Hz refresh rate and support for Acer’s bundled Active Stylus. As a Copilot+ PC, both configurations include a dedicated neural processing unit capable of delivering up to 80 TOPS of AI performance. The device is powered by either the Snapdragon X2 Elite or Snapdragon X2 Plus processor and comes with a full suite of Acer’s artificial intelligence tools including AcerSense for system management and personalisation, a 5MP IR camera with Windows Hello facial recognition, and Acer PurifiedView for enhanced video conferencing, alongside a customisable My Key programmable hotkey for single-press app and feature launching.
The Aspire Go 15 is arguably the more significant announcement for the broader market. It uses Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon C chip and is built around the basics: web browsing, streaming, schoolwork, battery life of up to 23 hours according to Acer, and portability, with Acer barely talking about artificial intelligence here and instead focusing on what budget laptop buyers actually care about most. The Aspire Go 15 comes with a 15.6-inch Full HD display, up to 8GB memory, up to 512GB storage, a 53Wh battery, Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, a Full HD webcam, dual speakers, and multiple ports including USB Type-C, USB Type-A, and HDMI. Qualcomm’s VP of Product Management Nitin Kumar described the two announcements as reflecting the full breadth of the Snapdragon portfolio, from premium artificial intelligence experiences with the Snapdragon X2 Series to accessible everyday computing with the new Snapdragon C platform.
The Acer Swift Spin 14 AI will be available in North America in August 2026, in Europe, Middle East, and Africa in July 2026, and in Australia in the third quarter of 2026, while availability for the Aspire Go 15 will be announced at a later date with no pricing confirmed for either device at the time of announcement. Both devices ship in fully recyclable packaging and incorporate post-consumer recycled plastics, meeting Energy Star and EPEAT certification standards. For the Windows on ARM ecosystem, which has been gaining meaningful commercial traction since the Snapdragon X Elite generation revitalised the category, Acer’s decision to extend Snapdragon all the way down to the entry-tier Aspire Go line signals that ARM-based Windows PCs are no longer a premium-only proposition but a viable architecture across the full price spectrum.
