National Database and Registration Authority has rolled out version 5.6.8 of its Pak ID mobile application, introducing new digital vehicle services for residents of Balochistan. Developed in collaboration with the Government of Balochistan, the update allows users to access digital registration cards for vehicles registered in the province directly through the Pak ID app rather than relying on physical documentation.

The update also introduces biometric verification for the sale and purchase of Balochistan registered vehicles. The new feature allows buyers and sellers to complete the authentication process remotely, removing the need to visit a physical office to finalize vehicle transfer transactions. According to National Database and Registration Authority, the newly launched services are aimed at making vehicle related processes more convenient by allowing citizens to complete them from home, and the update forms part of the authority’s broader efforts to expand digital public services across Pakistan.

The release follows the recent launch of Pak ID version 5.6.6, which introduced a View Card feature allowing applicants to preview their National Identity Card before submitting an application, review all entered information, and correct any errors prior to final submission. Version 5.6.6 also introduced digital registration services for births, deaths, marriages, and divorces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through the Pak ID app, a service that was initially launched across all village and neighborhood councils in Peshawar and is expected to expand to other parts of the province in phases.

The Balochistan vehicle services update adds to a pattern of provincial specific features National Database and Registration Authority has introduced through the Pak ID app in recent updates, reflecting continued collaboration between the federal identity authority and provincial governments to extend digital public service access beyond identity documentation into areas such as vehicle registration and civil registration records. The authority’s ongoing app updates point to a broader strategy of consolidating multiple government services into a single digital platform accessible to citizens across different provinces.
