National Database and Registration Authority has launched self-service kiosks at selected registration centers across Pakistan to simplify National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis services. The initiative is designed to help overseas Pakistanis and their families access key identity card services more quickly through automated, self-service facilities rather than relying solely on staffed counters.

Using the new kiosks, citizens can renew their NICOP, apply for a replacement if the card has been lost or damaged, or complete the cancellation of a deceased family member’s NICOP. According to National Database and Registration Authority, the self-service system is intended to reduce waiting times and streamline identity related procedures that have traditionally required more direct staff involvement at registration centers.

The kiosks have been installed at major National Database and Registration Authority registration centers across sixteen cities, including Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Jhang, Sargodha, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Quetta, and Peshawar. Key locations include the DHA Mega Center, North Nazimabad Mega Center, and Siemens Chowrangi Mega Center in Karachi, the Blue Area Mega Center and Bara Kahu Registration Center in Islamabad, the Murree Road Mega Center, CSD Center, and Wah Cantt Center in Rawalpindi, and the Data Darbar Mega Center, Egerton Road Mega Center, and PECO Road Mega Center in Lahore, with additional centers established in other major cities to broaden nationwide access.

National Database and Registration Authority said the new self-service kiosks form part of its broader digital transformation strategy aimed at improving service delivery, reducing queues at registration centers, and giving citizens faster, more convenient access to essential identity card services. The rollout adds to a series of digital modernization efforts the authority has pursued in recent years, reflecting a continued shift toward self-service and automated systems across Pakistan’s identity and registration infrastructure.
