Gearbox has officially confirmed the release date for the next major Borderlands 4 content drop. Bounty Pack 4 will launch on July 30, giving players only a few days to prepare before it goes live. The downloadable content delivers a shorter, highly replayable mission designed to take roughly an hour to complete, with a narrative that focuses entirely on a single character to keep the story tight.

This latest Bounty Pack shifts its focus to Levain, a character whose earlier appearance in the base game centered on a story involving her romantic partner. In this new content, players step in to help Levain navigate a growing conflict between two rival Ripper factions. One faction, known as The Flock, has abandoned violence and is asking for Levain’s help to preserve its peaceful way of life. The opposing faction, The Blasphemers, has taken a more aggressive path, recently seizing an Order facility located in a canyon known as the Toxic Scowl, leaving players to navigate the tension between the two extremes.

Gearbox has placed a strong emphasis on replayability with its shorter Bounty Pack releases, introducing an “A-or-B choices” system for this drop that allows player decisions to directly alter in-game dialogue and change combat encounters depending on the path chosen. The developers have also expanded the boss encounters for this release, featuring one major boss alongside three unique mini-bosses, an increase from the two mini-bosses included in the previous Bounty Pack. New loot accompanies the release as well, including fresh Legendary and Pearlescent items, a new vehicle, and a themed “splattered paint” skin available for both the ECHO-4 drone and all playable Vault Hunters. Vault Card 4 will also launch alongside the DLC, offering additional cosmetics and re-rollable Legendary gear through its battle pass style progression system.

Looking ahead, Gearbox has confirmed a larger content update for September that will mark the final stop on its current roadmap, introducing a new playable Vault Hunter named Loveless the Hacker alongside a full sized Second Story Pack centered on the return of legacy character FL4K. That storyline will follow FL4K battling Tediore forces while helping rescue a runaway pet Skag at a jungle resort, while a fifth Bounty Pack is also set to launch the same month. Gearbox added the extra pack to the roadmap after giving away one of the four originally promised Season Pass packs for free, ensuring Season Pass holders still receive their full value, though the studio has not yet confirmed whether a second year of post launch support is in the works.
