Pakistan Travel Mart (PTM) 2025 is set to be the most significant tourism event of the year, bringing together global and regional stakeholders to explore the burgeoning potential of the tourism industry. Supported by the National Organization of Tourism, Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC), and provincial tourism authorities, PTM 2025 aims to position Pakistan as a major player in both inbound and outbound tourism, as well as the domestic tourism market.

The fourth edition of PTM will take place at the Karachi Expo Centre from January 31 to February 2, 2025, followed by a roadshow in Islamabad on February 4-5, 2025. This event marks a pivotal step in advancing Pakistan’s tourism sector and is seen as an essential platform for forging partnerships and fostering collaboration between industry leaders.

On December 26, 2024, a special networking session was held at the Marriott Hotel in Karachi to build anticipation for PTM 2025. This prelude to the event brought together key stakeholders from across the travel and tourism sector, encouraging dialogue and strengthening partnerships in preparation for the larger event. The session highlighted the growing importance of collaboration, which is a central theme of PTM 2025.

For the first time, PTM will feature a dedicated Tech Hall, creating a unique bridge between technology and travel. Supported by industry partners such as the PSEB and the P@SHA, the Tech District will showcase innovative travel platforms, technology companies, and startups. This new addition will offer attendees the chance to discover cutting-edge solutions and foster collaboration in the rapidly evolving travel and tourism tech sector.

In addition to technological advancements, PTM 2025 will make a significant foray into medical tourism. By partnering with leading hospitals, PTM aims to promote Pakistan as a global hub for medical tourism. The goal is to connect health tourism providers with travel companies, expanding the industry’s potential and facilitating international collaborations. This shift represents a new chapter in Pakistan’s tourism landscape, with the opportunity to attract foreign visitors seeking medical treatment.

Another exciting development for PTM 2025 is the introduction of the Learning Enclave, an interactive hub designed to foster knowledge-sharing and insights. Through a series of talks, panel discussions, case studies, and immersive demonstrations, attendees will be able to engage with leading experts from the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors. The Learning Enclave aims to create dynamic, interactive environments where industry leaders can share knowledge and inspire future innovations.

Sustainability will also play a central role in PTM 2025, with the launch of the Sustainable Destinations Forum. This forum will bring together global experts to discuss sustainable tourism practices, cultural preservation, and environmental conservation. Through panel discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions, the forum will provide Pakistan with invaluable insights into implementing sustainable tourism initiatives, ensuring that the country’s tourism sector grows in harmony with its natural and cultural heritage.

The theme for PTM 2025, “Bridging Cultures & Empowering Local Communities Through Travel,” reflects the event’s commitment to fostering collaboration, innovation, and sustainable growth. One of the highlights of PTM 2025 will be Pakistan’s partnership with Saudi Arabia, with the Saudi Tourism Authority as a prominent partner for the event. This collaboration aims to strengthen bilateral ties and explore new tourism opportunities between the two nations.

Saudi Arabia has emerged as a leader in redefining the future of travel, with its Vision 2030 framework prioritizing sustainability, cultural preservation, and large-scale infrastructure development. The Kingdom’s tourism projects have positioned it as a model for transformative tourism development, and at PTM 2025, Saudi Arabia will host a dedicated pavilion showcasing its tourism potential. As the Title Partner of PTM 2025, Saudi Arabia’s participation underscores its growing influence in global tourism and its commitment to fostering international collaborations.

PTM 2025 promises to be a groundbreaking event that will redefine tourism opportunities in Pakistan and beyond. With its debut Tech Hall, new focus on medical tourism, and the launch of the Sustainable Destinations Forum, the event is poised to create lasting impacts on the tourism sector. As stakeholders from across the globe come together to share ideas, discuss innovations, and explore new opportunities, PTM 2025 is set to leave an indelible mark on the future of tourism in Pakistan and the region.
