Telenor Pakistan has announced key leadership elevations aimed at accelerating its strategic priorities and reinforcing its commitment to delivering enhanced value to customers in a rapidly evolving telecommunications landscape. The company’s latest move underscores its emphasis on internal talent development and strategic alignment across major business functions to capitalize on new opportunities in the market.

As part of this organizational advancement, Waqas Amanullah has been appointed as the Chief Consumer Business Officer (CCBO). In his new role, Amanullah will continue to lead the charge in enhancing the customer experience and fortifying the company’s distribution network across Pakistan. His focus will remain on ensuring seamless access to services, expanding reach, and embedding customer-centric innovation at every touchpoint. With a deep understanding of local market dynamics and customer behavior, Amanullah’s leadership is expected to further strengthen Telenor’s consumer engagement and operational excellence.

Meanwhile, Ahsan Maykan has been elevated to the role of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). He will be responsible for driving the company’s marketing strategies, leading brand and product development initiatives, and expanding the company’s digital platforms. Maykan’s portfolio also includes the development of advanced analytics capabilities that will help Telenor personalize its offerings and respond more effectively to the evolving needs of its customer base. His role is central to positioning Telenor as a forward-thinking digital services provider with an emphasis on innovation and data-driven customer engagement.

Shan Ul Haq has been appointed as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer (CCAO), where he will lead the Corporate Affairs Division. In this role, he will oversee the management of Telenor’s external business environment while ensuring alignment with the company’s internal strategic goals. Ul Haq will play a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s relationships with regulators, industry stakeholders, and government bodies, reinforcing Telenor’s position as a responsible and progressive player in Pakistan’s telecommunications sector.

The announcement was made by Telenor Pakistan CEO Khurrum Ashfaque, who highlighted the company’s long-standing commitment to nurturing internal talent and building future leaders. Speaking on the occasion, Ashfaque said, “Telenor Pakistan has always taken pride in nurturing homegrown talent and building a strong pipeline of leadership. These recent leadership elevations are a testament to our unwavering focus on talent development and recognition, where our people have risen in their careers to take on greater responsibilities. As we continue to evolve, our commitment continues to be deeply rooted in delivering greater value to our customers and stakeholders.”

The leadership shifts come at a time when the telecommunications industry in Pakistan is undergoing rapid transformation, driven by digital adoption, rising demand for data services, and a growing emphasis on customer experience. By elevating seasoned professionals from within, Telenor not only reinforces confidence in its human capital but also positions itself to respond with agility to market challenges and opportunities.

With these appointments, Telenor Pakistan aims to ensure that its leadership team remains aligned with the strategic imperatives of innovation, digital transformation, and inclusive growth. The company’s renewed focus on operational efficiency, customer-centricity, and regulatory alignment signals its intent to remain a key player in shaping the future of digital connectivity in Pakistan.
