Tabadlab is set to host an online panel session titled “Keeping Students in School: Behavioral and Tech Solutions from Pakistan” as part of Glocal Evaluation Week 2026, a global knowledge-sharing event organised by the Global Evaluation Initiative to advance monitoring and evaluation practice worldwide. The session is scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 6:30 PM Pakistan Standard Time, and is open for registration via https://lnkd.in/dviENXfS.
The webinar will bring together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to discuss findings from the Middle School Transition Study, a research initiative supported by Data and Research in Education (DARE) under the DARE Research Consortium. The panel will examine how behavioural science, technology, and artificial intelligence can be applied to support education systems and improve post-primary school enrolment in Pakistan, with a focus on addressing the behavioural frictions that contribute to student dropout at the middle school level. The session aims to explore practical, evidence-based solutions drawn from Pakistan’s own schooling context, making it particularly relevant for education stakeholders across the country and the wider region.
The panel features a distinguished lineup of speakers including Riffat Jabeen, Director Academics at the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training; Umar Nadeem, Chief Executive Officer of Tabadlab; Dr. Umar Taj, Associate Professor at the University of Warwick; and Khadija Hammad, Associate at Tabadlab. The session will be moderated by Zainab Latif, Senior Fellow at Tabadlab, ensuring a structured and expert-led discussion across the key themes of education policy, behavioural insights, and technology-driven interventions.
The event forms part of a broader global conversation under Glocal Evaluation Week 2026, which convenes knowledge producers and practitioners from around the world to share evidence and improve evaluation methodologies in social development. For Pakistan, where post-primary school dropout remains a significant challenge, the webinar presents an important opportunity to surface locally generated research and position behavioral and technology-based approaches as viable pathways to improving educational outcomes at scale. Interested participants can register through the link in the caption to secure their place at the online session.
