SAP has appointed Saqib Sabah as the new Head of its Middle East and Africa North Growth Cluster, with the leadership role headquartered in Islamabad. In his new position, Sabah will oversee the company’s strategic growth agenda across Pakistan, Kuwait and Bahrain while reporting directly to the regional leadership team. The appointment reflects SAP’s continued focus on expanding its presence across key growth markets and highlights the increasing importance of Islamabad as a regional technology and business hub.

The MEA North Growth Cluster brings together markets that sit at the crossroads of South Asia and the Middle East, regions that continue to witness significant adoption of enterprise technologies and digital transformation initiatives. By locating the cluster leadership in Islamabad, SAP is reinforcing its commitment to supporting customers and partners from within the region while driving enterprise innovation and business growth. According to the company, the decision underscores confidence in Pakistan’s evolving role within the broader technology ecosystem.

Throughout his career, he has led multinational teams and managed business operations across Asia and other regions. Prior to this appointment, he held several leadership positions within the technology sector, including senior roles at SAP and other enterprise technology organizations.

Commenting on the appointment, SAP regional leadership expressed confidence in Sabah’s ability to guide the MEA North Growth Cluster through its next phase of expansion, citing his experience in growth markets and business transformation. Sabah also emphasized the opportunities presented by ongoing digital transformation initiatives across the region and noted his intention to work closely with customers, partners and internal teams to support innovation and business outcomes. In addition to his corporate leadership responsibilities, he is pursuing doctoral research focused on the impact of artificial intelligence on retail investing and has received recognition for his contributions to the technology sector in Malaysia and Singapore.
