Leaked specifications for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A57 have surfaced online, offering an early look at the company’s next mid range smartphone. Reports suggest the device could compete directly with models such as the Google Pixel 10a, positioning itself as a slimmer alternative within the same price segment. The information, shared through technology reports referencing details from Android Headlines, outlines several hardware upgrades while maintaining design elements familiar to Samsung’s Galaxy A series lineup.

According to the leak, the Galaxy A57 is expected to run on the Exynos 1680 processor developed by Samsung Electronics. The smartphone will reportedly include 8 gigabytes of random access memory alongside storage configurations of 128 gigabytes and 256 gigabytes. On the front, the device is said to feature a 6.7 inch Super Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode display with a 120 hertz refresh rate and a resolution of 2340 by 1080 pixels, also known as Full High Definition Plus. Powering the device could be a 5000 milliampere hour battery with support for 45 watt wired charging, a specification that has become common among Samsung’s mid range models in recent years.

Camera specifications appear similar to those found on the previous generation device. The Galaxy A57 is expected to include a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50 megapixel main sensor, a 12 megapixel ultra wide camera and a 5 megapixel macro camera. A 12 megapixel front facing camera is also expected for selfies and video calls. While the camera system may not represent a significant upgrade compared with the previous generation, the device may offer improvements in overall design and performance through its updated processor and slimmer construction.

One of the notable changes highlighted in the leak is the device’s physical design. The Galaxy A57 is reported to measure 161.5 by 76.9 by 6.9 millimetres and weigh approximately 192 grams, making it noticeably thinner than the previous generation model. This would also make it slimmer than the Pixel 10a, which is reported to measure around 9 millimetres in thickness. The smartphone is expected to be available in several colour options including Awesome Gray, Awesome Icyblue, Awesome Lilac and Awesome Navy.

Details about another upcoming model, the Samsung Galaxy A37, were also mentioned in the same report. The device is expected to feature the same 6.7 inch 120 hertz Super Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode display but will reportedly run on the Exynos 1480 processor previously used in the Samsung Galaxy A55. The Galaxy A37 may be offered with 6 gigabytes or 8 gigabytes of random access memory and storage options of 128 gigabytes and 256 gigabytes. Like the Galaxy A57, it is also expected to include a 5000 milliampere hour battery with support for 45 watt wired charging.

Reports suggest that both devices may launch later this month, although the company has not yet issued an official announcement regarding their release timeline. If the leaked specifications prove accurate, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A series smartphones could continue the company’s focus on offering slim designs and balanced specifications within the mid range smartphone market.
