Punjab Information Technology Board’s e-Khidmat Markaz has achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification across all of its centres in Punjab, marking a meaningful step forward in the standardisation and quality assurance of public service delivery in the province. The certification, which applies to the entire network of e-Khidmat centres, reflects a commitment to maintaining consistent service quality, transparent processes, and measurable citizen satisfaction through a formally audited and internationally recognised quality management framework.

The ISO 9001:2015 standard is widely regarded as the global benchmark for quality management systems, requiring organisations to demonstrate their ability to consistently deliver services that meet both citizen and regulatory requirements. For e-Khidmat Markaz, achieving this certification across all centres signals that the quality and professionalism of services are no longer dependent on individual centre performance but are instead governed by uniform processes and management standards applicable throughout the network. The certification also strengthens the management systems underpinning the centres’ operations, bringing greater accountability and structured oversight to day-to-day service delivery.

Since its launch, e-Khidmat Markaz has served more than 10 million citizens, offering access to over 170 services spanning 21 government departments through 15 centres spread across 14 districts of Punjab. The initiative was established by Punjab Information Technology Board as part of a broader effort to bring government services closer to citizens through a single, accessible, and technology-enabled service window, reducing the need to visit multiple departments and significantly cutting down on the time and effort required to complete routine transactions with the state. The ISO certification now adds a layer of international credibility to that service model, reinforcing the position of e-Khidmat Markaz as a leading example of citizen-centric digital governance in Pakistan. Further details about the certification and the services offered are available at the official e-Khidmat Markaz portal via the link shared by PITB.
