An error message stating “The page cannot be displayed” and an “Attack ID: 20000001” code appeared, hinting at a possible cyberattack. Interestingly, some users reported accessing the site through VPNs, suggesting a targeted block rather than a complete outage.
The website is currently back online, but the cause remains unclear. While the error code points towards a cyberattack, there’s no official confirmation. Similarly, it’s uncertain whether it was a widespread outage or a targeted block on specific ISPs. Efforts to reach PTA for comment were unsuccessful.
This incident raises concerns on two fronts: cybersecurity and transparency. The vulnerability of critical infrastructure like PTA website to cyberattacks is worrisome.
