PTA has established a dedicated facilitation stall at the Overseas Pakistanis Convention 2025, held in Islamabad from April 13 to 15. This initiative is part of the government’s broader vision, led by the Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan, to extend special support and services to Pakistani expatriates during their visits to the country.

PTA’s stall at the convention is designed to provide comprehensive guidance and support on a wide range of telecom-related services. These include mobile device registration, regulatory compliance, and access to digital services tailored specifically for overseas Pakistanis. One of the standout features of this initiative is the free 120-day mobile registration service offered to expats on every visit to Pakistan. This service ensures uninterrupted connectivity during their stay, removing one of the common hurdles faced by returning Pakistanis and allowing them to stay in touch with their families and communities more easily.

The stall is staffed by senior PTA officials and telecom experts who are offering personalized assistance through interactive displays and one-on-one support sessions. These on-ground efforts aim to provide clear, accessible, and efficient help to visitors, many of whom may be unfamiliar with the evolving telecom regulations in the country.

Chairman PTA, Major General (R) Hafeez Ur Rehman, highlighted the organization’s dedication to furthering the Prime Minister’s vision of digital inclusion. He emphasized that PTA is committed to fostering a digitally empowered Pakistan, one that not only supports its citizens within the country but also caters to the needs of its diaspora. The facilitation of mobile connectivity, simplified regulatory processes, and expansion of digital services are seen as critical components of building a modern and inclusive digital infrastructure.

PTA’s presence at the Overseas Convention 2025 marks an important step toward strengthening the relationship between Pakistan’s institutions and its global diaspora. With millions of Pakistanis living abroad, these measures are expected to significantly enhance their experience while visiting the country, reinforcing their connection with the homeland through better digital integration and support. This initiative underscores PTA’s role as a key driver in Pakistan’s digital transformation journey. By extending its reach beyond borders, the Authority is not only promoting a hassle-free telecom experience but also contributing to the broader national goal of creating a connected, inclusive, and forward-looking society.
