National Information Technology Board (NITB) has announced a collaboration with Pakistan Post, which it has described as an important step towards bringing digital government services closer to citizens across Pakistan. The announcement was shared by the board on its official page, and further information about its work is available on its website. The collaboration brings together an institution that works on digital government systems and a national postal organization whose network is spread across the country. By joining these two organizations, the board aims to widen the number of people who can reach services that are provided by the government through digital means.

The collaboration will be carried out through the Digital Economy Enhancement Project (DEEP). According to the board, it will contribute to building a more connected, accessible and citizen centric digital ecosystem. It is also intended to expand access to government services and to create greater opportunities for citizens to take part in the digital transformation of Pakistan. The board has therefore placed the work with Pakistan Post within a wider project that deals with the digital economy, and it has linked the effort to the goal of making services easier to reach for people in different parts of the country, rather than limiting them to those who already have convenient access.

NITB said that it is leveraging partnerships and extending the reach of digital services as part of its approach. The board described the direction of this work as moving towards a future in which every citizen can benefit from a more inclusive and digital Pakistan. This statement shows that the focus of the collaboration is on inclusion, and it points to the idea that partnerships with established national organizations can help digital services reach people who may not have used them earlier. The board did not provide further details in its announcement about the specific services or locations that will be covered under the arrangement.

The message from the board closed with the phrases shared vision, wider reach, equitable access and a more inclusive Digital Pakistan, which summarize the aims of the collaboration. It was accompanied by hashtags that connect the announcement to Digital Pakistan, DEEP, Pakistan Post, digital transformation, citizen centric services and digital inclusion. For citizens, the announcement signals that the government is working with Pakistan Post to improve access to digital government services, while the board continues to carry out the Digital Economy Enhancement Project as the framework for this work and for other efforts that aim to build the digital economy of the country.
