Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) has highlighted a key achievement from its member network, showcasing the growing global footprint of Pakistan linked technology ventures. In its latest update, the association announced that Culyte’s product, Chedmed, has been selected to participate in GITEX Africa 2026, one of the region’s leading technology and startup exhibitions. The development reflects the increasing presence of platforms connected to Pakistan’s tech ecosystem in international markets and major global forums.
Chedmed, a Morocco based digital marketplace developed and managed by Culyte, operates as an e-commerce platform enabling users to buy and sell both new and second hand goods. The platform has demonstrated notable traction within the North African digital economy, reporting over 80,000 downloads, more than 38,000 registered users, and upwards of 2.3 million visits. Its selection for GITEX Africa signals recognition of its growth and market relevance, particularly within emerging digital commerce ecosystems where scalable platforms are gaining momentum.
The participation has been supported through a 95 percent subsidy by Morocco’s Ministry of Digital Affairs, highlighting how government backed initiatives are helping startups gain visibility on global stages. From a technology perspective, such exposure plays a critical role in enabling startups to connect with investors, partners, and broader innovation networks, while also validating product market fit in competitive international environments. For companies associated with Pakistan’s technology community, these milestones contribute to strengthening the country’s global positioning in digital services and product development.
P@SHA continues to promote member achievements as part of its broader effort to amplify Pakistan’s presence in the global technology landscape. As the country’s primary industry body representing information technology and IT enabled services companies, the association has consistently worked to support international outreach, policy advocacy, and ecosystem development. The recognition of platforms like Chedmed underscores how Pakistani linked ventures are expanding beyond local markets and contributing to cross border digital innovation and entrepreneurship.
