The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) has emphasised the importance of developing not only technical expertise but also communication, leadership, and problem solving abilities within the country’s information and communication technology workforce. This perspective was highlighted during the Training of Trainers programme, a three day initiative designed to strengthen the soft skills ecosystem across Pakistan’s technology sector.

The Training of Trainers programme was structured as an intensive capacity building platform with the objective of preparing a cohort of skilled trainers who will further disseminate soft skills training across the ICT industry. The initiative reflects a growing recognition that Pakistan’s software export potential depends not only on coding proficiency but also on the ability of professionals to effectively communicate, lead teams, and engage with international clients in a competitive global market.

A key highlight of the programme was the participation of Faisal Jeddy, Chief Executive Officer of PSEB, whose presence underscored the organisation’s commitment to workforce development beyond technical training. His involvement was seen as a reinforcement of PSEB’s focus on equipping ICT professionals with a comprehensive skill set required to operate successfully in international markets. The programme also brought together experienced trainers from across Pakistan, creating a collaborative environment aimed at standardising and improving the quality of soft skills training nationwide.

By bringing together professionals from diverse backgrounds, the initiative aims to establish a unified network of trainers capable of transforming how Pakistan’s IT workforce communicates and collaborates. The effort aligns with broader national objectives under the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication Pakistan and Tech Destination Pakistan, which continue to support initiatives focused on strengthening human capital in the technology sector. The programme is expected to contribute to long term improvements in workforce readiness, ultimately enhancing Pakistan’s competitiveness in the global digital economy.
