The Prime Minister’s Initiative under the PSEB Internship Program has achieved a significant milestone with more than 1100 interns placed across Pakistan in member IT companies. This progress reflects ongoing efforts to support the country’s technology workforce and create structured opportunities for students and fresh graduates seeking professional exposure in the IT sector. The initiative continues to strengthen the bridge between learning and industry needs by providing access to real workplace environments where participants gain valuable skills and experience.

Through this program, PSEB has continued to engage with leading IT firms across the country, ensuring nationwide participation that benefits both organizations and prospective talent. Interns placed through the program have had the opportunity to work in diverse specializations including software development, data management, digital services and technical support functions. These placements have provided participants with insights into the workflows of established technology companies, allowing them to understand expectations within the sector and improve their readiness for long term career paths. The involvement of PSEB member companies has been central to supporting this initiative and increasing internship capacity across major cities.

The program also serves as an important component of Pakistan’s broader workforce development agenda, particularly at a time when the digital economy continues to grow and evolve. By facilitating structured internships, the initiative helps improve employability for young professionals who require guidance and hands on training to transition effectively into the technology industry. Participants benefit not only from practical experience but also from mentorship provided by senior professionals within the companies where they are placed. This ensures that interns receive exposure to industry practices, organizational culture and the collaborative environments typical of modern IT workplaces.

With ongoing placement activities, the PSEB Internship Program continues to strengthen the talent pipeline that supports Pakistan’s expanding IT and digital services sector. The achievement of more than 1100 successful placements reflects consistent coordination between educational institutions, government led initiatives and private sector companies that recognize the value of developing skilled workers. The continued focus of the program demonstrates Pakistan’s commitment to nurturing its future technology workforce and encouraging young individuals who want to contribute to the country’s digital progress.

The visual shared highlights the theme of building Pakistan’s global IT workforce under the Skill Bridge identity, representing the program’s role in developing youth talent capable of contributing to both local and international technology markets. PSEB’s efforts remain aligned with improving opportunities for new graduates and promoting access to structured industry training that enhances skill development across the country.
