Apple has started rolling out Apple TV and Apple Arcade access at no extra cost to paid iCloud+ subscribers in Pakistan, with affected users receiving emails notifying them of the expanded subscription benefits. Apple’s iCloud+ webpage now lists Pakistan among the countries where this expanded subscription package is available, marking the country’s inclusion in a broader international rollout of the bundled benefit.
Under the new arrangement, existing iCloud+ subscribers automatically gain access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade while retaining their existing storage plans and current pricing structure. Emails received by Pakistani subscribers confirmed that the added benefit would not come with any price increase, with one subscriber on the 50GB plan noting that the monthly price would remain Rs. 200, while a subscriber on the 2TB plan was informed their price would remain Rs. 2,500 per month. This confirms that the expanded access functions purely as an added benefit layered onto existing subscription tiers rather than requiring users to upgrade to a new or more expensive plan.
Apple said iCloud+ subscribers will also be able to share their plans with up to five family members, extending access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade across an entire household under a single subscription. The company noted that availability of specific content and features within Apple TV and Apple Arcade may vary depending on the country or region, meaning Pakistani users may not have access to the exact same content library available to subscribers in other markets despite receiving the same underlying subscription benefit.
The development comes shortly after Salman Dar was appointed Apple’s Head of Government Affairs for Pakistan, a newly established role through which he will lead the company’s engagement with regulators, policymakers, and other stakeholders in the country. Dar previously served as CEO of IT company Itroos and held leadership roles at the Pakistan Software Houses Association, bringing close to three decades of experience across local and international technology markets and government policy engagement to his new position at Apple. Apple has said the expanded iCloud+ package, which now includes Apple TV and Apple Arcade at no additional cost, is being rolled out across more than 100 countries, with Pakistan’s inclusion reflecting the company’s broader global expansion of the bundled subscription offering.
