The National Information Technology Board (NITB) has announced the launch of a new and updated version of the Pakistan Citizens Portal app, enhancing the platform’s ability to connect citizens with government services and provide a structured channel for lodging and resolving public complaints. The updated application introduces a new digital complaint form and feedback mechanism, allowing citizens to report issues related to public services more efficiently while tracking resolution progress through a transparent, digitally managed workflow. The portal continues to operate under its public-facing identity as “Awam Ki Awaaz,” reflecting its mandate as the primary citizen-government interface for complaint redressal in Pakistan.

The new version of the app has been developed in collaboration with the National Information Technology Board and is available for download on both major mobile platforms. Android users can access the updated application through the Google Play Store, while iOS users can download it via the Apple App Store, ensuring broad accessibility across the country’s diverse smartphone user base. The platform is designed to serve as a one-stop digital interface for citizens seeking resolution of issues related to public service delivery, bringing together complaint submission, status tracking, and accountability functions within a single mobile application.

The Pakistan Citizens Portal has been a cornerstone of the government’s digitisation agenda, enabling millions of citizens to engage with federal and provincial departments without the need to visit offices in person. The latest upgrade reflects NITB’s ongoing commitment to improving the quality, speed, and transparency of citizen-government interaction through technology. With Pakistan’s digital governance ecosystem continuing to mature, enhancements to foundational platforms such as the Citizens Portal play a critical role in building public trust in digital services and reinforcing the broader Digital Pakistan vision that the government has placed at the centre of its administrative modernisation agenda.
