Applications for the Google Career Certificates Scholarship Program have reopened in Pakistan, with Google announcing the new round to coincide with the opening of its office in the country. In partnership with Tech Valley, Google is offering 150,000 scholarships across Pakistan, giving learners who missed the first round another opportunity to build industry relevant, future ready skills through the Career Certificates programme.
The reopening builds on a series of Google Career Certificates initiatives Tech Valley has run in Pakistan over the past year in partnership with various organizations, including the Higher Education Department of Punjab, which signed an MoU with Google and Tech Valley to launch over 20,000 scholarships for students across public universities and district colleges in the province, and a separate 100,000 certificate initiative announced under the province’s Year of Youth 2026 programme. Foundation Fighting Poverty had also launched a related scholarship round earlier this year offering more than 70 free online courses spanning technical infrastructure, data and artificial intelligence, and business and creative leadership.
The current round is described as entirely online and available at no cost, removing financial and geographical barriers that have historically limited access to quality technology education for a large segment of Pakistan’s youth. Google Career Certificates typically cover in demand fields such as data analytics, IT support, project management, UX design, digital marketing and cybersecurity, giving applicants a broad range of career pathways to choose from depending on their interests and existing skill level.
With limited seats available for the newly reopened round, Google and Tech Valley are encouraging interested learners, whether looking to start a career, switch fields or strengthen existing skills, to apply promptly through the official application link. The reopening reflects Google’s continued expansion of its scholarship footprint in Pakistan following the establishment of its local office, adding to a broader pattern of large scale digital skills partnerships the company has pursued with government and private sector organizations across the country over the past year.
