Karachi-based Internet Service Provider NetSat Private Limited has initiated arbitration proceedings against WorldCall Telecom Limited over alleged breaches of contract relating to the operation, expansion, and management of WorldCall’s fibre network infrastructure across Pakistan’s southern region.

According to a public notice issued by NetSat, both companies had entered into an agreement under which NetSat carried out work on WorldCall’s network infrastructure across Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Quetta. The arrangement allegedly covered the utilisation, development, and enhancement of fibre, aerial, and underground telecommunications infrastructure across these cities, representing a significant geographic footprint across Sindh and Balochistan.

NetSat alleges that WorldCall Telecom violated the terms of this agreement, prompting the formal initiation of arbitration proceedings to resolve the dispute. The company has further claimed that certain contested network assets and upgrades continue to be commercially used by WorldCall despite the ongoing contractual conflict being unresolved, a situation NetSat has flagged as a concern for third parties who may be unaware of the legal proceedings. As a result, NetSat has issued a public caution to businesses and stakeholders advising them against entering into agreements involving the disputed infrastructure in the southern region until the matter has been settled through the arbitration process.

WorldCall Telecom Limited had not issued a public response to the allegations at the time of reporting, with the company declining to provide a comment when approached. The dispute will ultimately be resolved through arbitration, which will determine the final rights and obligations of both parties with respect to the contested network assets and the terms of their original agreement.
