Meta has expanded the capabilities of its mobile video editing app, Edits, with a series of updates aimed at improving workflow efficiency and creative control for content creators in 2026. The latest version introduces features designed to simplify repetitive tasks, maintain consistency across projects, and give users more precise management over both video and audio elements. By adding tools that enhance usability and flexibility, Meta continues to position Edits as a central part of content creation for social media teams, marketers, and independent creators alike.

Among the most notable enhancements is the ability to copy and paste fonts and clips between projects. This feature allows creators to maintain a consistent visual identity across multiple videos while reducing the time spent on repetitive setup tasks. Users can now quickly transfer text styles and clip elements from one project to another, making scaling content production easier. Currently, this function is being rolled out for iOS users, providing a streamlined solution for those producing multiple videos on a mobile platform.

Meta has also improved the app’s usability by introducing a new drop-down menu accessible by tapping the project name. This menu provides faster access to guides, frames, and snapping tools, which were previously controlled through smaller on-screen options. The change simplifies alignment and framing adjustments, particularly on smaller screens, allowing creators to focus on editing rather than navigating complex interface elements. In addition, a new “Visual Clips + Sound Effects” control enables users to decide whether changes to the main track automatically apply to linked visual or audio clips. This gives editors greater flexibility to experiment with timing and structure or lock elements together once a project is finalized.

Beyond workflow improvements, Edits has expanded its creative features. Users can now apply visual effects to specific objects within a frame, utilize a new Reverse option, and access additional text animation styles. These updates enhance creative possibilities while keeping the editing process fully contained within the mobile app. By gradually introducing these advanced functions, Meta aims to provide a feature-dense editing tool capable of handling increasingly complex projects without requiring desktop software. Edits is available for download on both iOS and Android, with more updates expected as the company continues to refine the app based on user feedback and evolving content creation needs.
