Meta has launched a new range of Artificial Intelligence-powered smart glasses under its own brand name, lowering the entry price to $299 and establishing a lineup of three distinct frame styles, marking the company’s first move away from relying solely on the Ray-Ban branding it has used for its smart glasses to date.

The new glasses are manufactured in partnership with EssilorLuxottica and come in three models. Adventurer features a classic square design available in two sizes, Fury offers a thicker frame aesthetic, and both start at $299, which is $80 less than the second-generation Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses launched the previous year while retaining the same core Artificial Intelligence feature set. The third model, called Starfire, was designed in collaboration with Kylie Jenner and features a slimmer oval-shaped frame starting at $399. Across the full lineup, Meta is offering 26 combinations of colours and lenses, with colour options spanning black, green, and tortoiseshell alongside lens choices including prescription, polarised, and photochromic versions. Adjustable three-way nose pads have been added to improve comfort and fit across a wider range of users.

The hardware architecture remains consistent with Meta’s existing smart glasses platform, with built-in cameras, open-ear speakers, and multiple microphones for hands-free photo and video capture, call support, and voice-activated assistance, but without in-lens displays. The glasses are now powered by Muse Spark, Meta’s new multimodal Artificial Intelligence model, which users can activate through a dedicated action button to ask questions about what they are currently looking at, translate conversations in real time, or capture content hands-free. Live translation has been expanded to cover 14 additional languages, while a new dynamic photo burst mode has been introduced to improve the quality of hands-free photography. Meta has also announced that audio-based pedestrian navigation with turn-by-turn directions will be added in a future software update, extending the utility of the glasses for users who move through urban environments on foot.

Battery life is rated at up to eight hours of continuous use, with the included folding charging case providing an additional 40 hours of power, making the glasses practical for all-day wear without requiring a mid-day recharge under normal usage conditions. The new Meta Glasses are available immediately through Meta’s website, Amazon, Best Buy, and selected eyewear retailers including LensCrafters and Sunglass Hut.
